Some time ago I would have never dreamed that this will be such a special experience for me and all the other spectators & participants.
„The Beilis Case“ is a story that tells about the Jew Mendel Beilis accused for murder of a Christian boy, which took place in 1911 in Kyiv in the days of the Russian Empire. The story is accompanied by personal accounts of current events in Ukraine. Suddenly, the story of 1911 is as contemporary as it was over 100 years ago.
It’s crazy how the world changes and that this will become or has become a relic of current history & politics.
I am infinitely grateful for the chance to see this piece and to be part of this creative europe project, which is supposed to be about cross-border art and networking and unity.
Huge kudos to the Jam Factory Art Center for the performance, to Pod Palmovkou Theatre for the stage & organisation and to everyone involved.
